True Blood Viewers Beware
Posted on | May 25, 2010 | No Comments
This is pretty f’ing cool. True Blood is rewarding viewers by letting them view and share special content, giving them digital goods, and letting people see themselves become a vampire all throughout the season using your blue ray dvd player connected to your facebook profile. Woah, that was a lot to expel in one breath. For true fans, this gives them something even more to engage with. For friends of fans, they won’t be able to escape the trail of blood.

THE AIR IN NIKE SHOES COMES FROM ATHLETES
Posted on | April 2, 2010 | No Comments
This had me laughing. Great idea, great execution. This is a great example of using celebrity endorsements in a totally different way than what were used to. Being pretty new to the sports category, we have been looking for good uses of these pro athletes, that doesn’t look like everything else we have seen. Putting these athletes in a different light makes it feel like something new. It’s not just Troy Polamalu crushing the crap out of a wide receiver, its a funnier much more human version of him. Very very cool. Much props to the peeps that dreamed this one up.

I’m Here by Spike Jonze

I just watched the short film by Spike Jonze called I’m Here. The film premiered at Sundance but is also airing on the website. Absolut is the sponsor for the movie but there is hardly a mention of them in the whole experience. The movie airs every hour on the hour. I was just complaining the other day that there is not enough entertainment on the web that is specific for the web. This doesn’t really solve that void completely but is a move in the right direction. Thanks Spike.

The story is about 2 robots who fall in love and what they have to lose to stay with each other. Entertaining, touching and clever. I love how Spike’s movies bring out emotion in the most unlikely characters.
